Lawrence Kay, proprietor of Mr Lawrence Computing has a background in technical maintenance as an indentured apprentice within the Electricity Supply Industry. He gained his knowledge and experience of computers in the late 1980’s whilst studying for a Higher National Diploma in Engineering and Business Studies at Bolton Institute of Technology and then later at Salford University where he graduated with a 2.1 honours degree in Manufacturing Management.
After gaining further knowledge in electronics fabrication, he went on to lecture both Computing and Mechanical Engineering, at colleges within the North West of England. It was during this time that he nurtured the idea to offer sales, repairs and technical advice to local businesses and domestic users of computers; which by the mid-1990’s were becoming more mainstream. At first, work was picked up either through word of mouth or local shop window advertising. By 2001 the demand for computer services was such that Mr Lawrence Computing was established as a full-time and legitimate enterprise.
The values that helped establish that fledgling business are still evident today... that’s why customers return again and again to Mr Lawrence Computing. Some other larger organisations might not believe it but we realise the importance of getting your computer back to you as quickly as possible.  The majority of computers that are brought in to us are successfully repaired and returned to the customer the very next day.
